COVID-19 Safety Protocols
The whole community went through a lot over the last few months, and we all are looking for ways to get back to our normal habits and routines. We, at Northgate Dental, are dedicated to the safety of our patients and staff. We have taken certain infection control measures to make your visits to our office as safe as possible.
We strictly follow the guidelines provided by the American Dental Association (ADA) ,U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as part of the infection control procedures. We stay up-to-date on any new guidance provided by these agencies.
Have a look at the changes we implemented in our office to help protect our patients and staff:
Virtual Waiting Room
Please give us a call when you arrive and remain in your vehicle until we assess your temperature. If you have a temperature at or above 100.4° F, we will reschedule your appointment.
Pre-Screening of Every Patient
We will ask you some pre-screening questions when we confirm your appointment and again when you arrive at the office. You will have to fill out and submit the pre-screening form the day before your appointment.
Expanded Patient Appointments
We will manage the appointments in a way that we could allow social distancing between patients. This means we will be offering fewer options to schedule your visit.
Hospital-Grade Hand Sanitizing Station
When you enter the office, we will ask you to use a hand sanitizer, and also, you can find some in each operatory room and other places in the office which you can use according to the necessity.
Oral Anti-Microbial Rinse
Before making you sit on the dental chair, you will have to use an oral pre-rinse for about 30 seconds.
Daily Health Check-Up For Our Team
We will keep in check the temperature of our staff each morning and ask the same screening questions as we ask our patients.
N95 & ASTM Level 3 Masks
Every one of us in the team will keep our lovely smiles protected behind double-masking at all times.
Use Face Shields
It is just not enough with two masks, so we will protect you and ourselves through the use of FDA Approved PET face shields.
Disposable, Protective Coats & Hats
When appropriate, our team will also utilize another layer of protection. This includes hair cover and double gloves, which can help in minimizing the spread or absorption of airborne particles.
HEPA Air Filtration
We have equipped each of our operatory rooms with a High level 4 stage HEPA filter, UV-C light air purifiers, which can kill bacteria, mold, and viruses, and make the air clean.
Advanced Aerosol Reduction Tools
We have also utilized special equipment like Rubberdam, Isolite, and HVE system, which can limit aerosols.
Sterilizing Instruments
This is something we do ever since we started our practice. You can trust us and need not worry about anything.
Cleaning After Every Appointment
In each operatory after every patient, we thoroughly wipe, sanitize, and disinfect all instruments, equipment, and surfaces to make everything super clean.
Deep Cleaning Every Evening
Even though we carry out cleaning and sanitizing during the day, we do a deep cleaning with a thorough top-to-bottom scrub down in the evening.
Advanced Staff Training
We have trained our team members regarding additional awareness, and also prevention programs to enhance their knowledge and keep them more prepared.
No Magazines Or Toys
Our waiting room will no longer be offering magazines, coffee, or toys, as its quite hard to clean and disinfect these items.
We appreciate you for staying strong during all such tough times. We look forward to seeing you again and happily answer any questions you may have in your mind regarding the steps we have taken to make your visit a safe and secure one.
